Name: Ryu Yin “Ryu”
Age: 46
Gender: Male
Style: Original
Residence: Ru Nan
Personality:
With age Ryu Yin has sort of mellowed a bit. He’s willing to joke around more and be sarcastic. He’s realized that he can do what he wants. He doesn’t need to keep up with appearances. He’ll be sadistic when torturing an enemy. Or be all goofy around others. Too be honest he couldn’t care less. He’ll act the way he wants to depending on the situation.
Appearance:
Ryu Yin is 5 feet and 8 inches tall, skin color tan, he has brown eyes except for the left one is blacked out. He has short dark brown hair. He is fairly muscular but he has trained his muscles for speed and endurance more than sheer strength. So he has a smaller frame than those who works strictly on becoming stronger. He’s older and his body isn’t as strong as it used to. But he does his best to keep himself in shape. So don’t underestimate him by his appearance you could say because he’s more experienced he’s just as vicious.
Apparel/Armor:
Ryu Yin
Ryu Yin wears a black hood and cloak with little armor. He wears a utility belt around his waist a pouch for each of his poisons. His Katana is held by his belt on his left side. Just above the belt are his twin daggers resting against his ribcage for easy use and so that they do not make any noise when he moves. Now back to his clothing, his Cloak reaches all the way down to the ground and his wrap himself completely in it. The shoulder part of his cloak also extends out because of some leather shoulder guards. Under his hood he has a dark red scarf. Under his robe he wears dark fatigues that are loose enough so that they don’t inhibit his ability to fight. He wears black leather boots and gauntlets with metal plates on the wrist and half of his forearm.
Weapon(s):
Dao(Saber): Unlike in his younger years when he used to wield a Katana blade his old family sword has broken a long time ago. Ryu now wields a normal Dao Saber. A single handed, single edged light weight weapon that is moderately curved and effective in thrust and slashing attacks. Although it is single edged a few inches near the curved part of blade is sharpened as well.
Ryu’s second weapon is a Zhuge Nu Repeating Crossbow. Although to make it more practical use for a single person. The magazine is lowered from ten bolts to six in order to reduce weight and add more weight by adding length to the stock to increase power. It can shoot only two bolts at a time instead of three. It can be switched from a single bolt shot to a two bolt shot. (Note: This is a weapon that was made in this The Three Kingdoms Era by Zhuge Liang. I will switch to a Regular Crossbow if it is not allowed or throwing knives. It’s not a Repeating Machine Gun Crossbow but it is a Repeating Crossbow. And I tried to reduce it’s capabilities by reducing the magazine size and reducing the number of bolts that can be fired at once from 3 to 2 or 1.)
Ryu Yin also carries 3 types of poisons with him from different regions of China. Along with them he carries the Antidotes. 4 of each.
The King Cobra: Located in Southern China their venom is a very powerful neurotoxin a neurotoxin is a toxin that affects your nerve cells or neurons causing paralysis and or death he uses a small semi weak dosage to paralyze and a high and intense dosage to kill. 2 vials are in liquid form and 2 in powder form.
The Russell Viper: Easier to find in Southern China then The King Cobra because of being in abundance this venom effects the persons tissue and blood cells this venom is very powerful he uses this venom to an extreme amount of pain and suffering he uses it usually when interrogating and he can’t get them to release information uses small dosages at a time It is a hemotoxic venom. All four are in liquid form
Nightshade: Easiest to find since it is very abundant. The plants poison can be used for various other things but Yin uses it as Sedative. 2 are in liquid form and 2 in powder form.
History:
Back in the day when Ryu Yin was young boy his family were hunters and he grew up to become a fine hunter. Life was good but all that happiness went down the drain. Bandits came and raided his home his family, his neighbors slaughtered. Ryu was out on a hunt then and he came back to a burned village and pile of corpses. It was then that he realized how fragile life was and his career as an Assassin began. He hunted down and killed the Bandits who had ruined his peaceful life. One by one they fell silently. Some would turn up with an arrow in their back. Another with a stab wound at their spine. Or a snapped neck. And a few just died of unknown reasons. He had used all the knowledge of hunting game and directed it towards his fellow man. Ryu Yin had turned into a Ruthless killing machine by the time every bandit in that group was dead.
In his late teens he travelled out to China’s big cities his life would take a horrible turn. Ryu took what he wanted, did what he wanted with no remorse. He was a cruel sadistic perverted ruthless bastard. But he was effective, he got the job done. He was a Hired Assassin and a damned good one until he got careless. His arrogance got the best of him and landed him in a trap. He was too open about his practice and his enemies formed a small coalition against him to get rid of him. Ryu experienced fear, something he hadn’t felt since he was a small boy when he was bitten by a snake on the eye. Cornered and trapped Ryu didn’t know what to do. He had no allies no one that he could turn to. He ran throughout the city looking for shelter from his enemies but he was turned down. He realized he was alone. The killers had caught up to him. Ryu could do nothing but fight. Ryu was angry and hated all the people who had condemned him to this fate. He went into a rage and killed his pursuers. He killed them all with a smile on his face. But they weren’t the only ones he killed, he slaughtered the people that turned him down. By morning he calmed down and took in what he had done. He was just like those bandits. He took leave of the city and headed North.
For years he tried to make good, accepting small contracts on people he knew deserved death. It was hard because to be honest many assassination contracts don’t have good people paying him to kill bad people it’s the opposite. Innocent people who pissed off the wrong guy were most of the contracts out there. He had little income and he could barely afford housing. And his little estate in Ru Nan that he earned through a contract was run down. With no money he couldn’t fix it to be able to live in it. So he spent most of his time in taverns and he drank his problems away. But he overheard some soldiers talking about the small state of Wei. They were just starting out but they were talking about that their Lord was paying good money. He quickly took leave of the tavern and sobered up and joined the Wei army. He started out as a normal soldier. His skills were far superior but he still learned much. About formations about how to handle oneself in a group not alone. Ryu rose up in the ranks. But after many battles he was tired of it all. The constant warring the battles. He needed to get away. So he did.
Well into his thirties Ryu took a journey around China. Honing his mind and body. Much time went by a decade to be exact. He returned to Wei, much larger than what it used to be. Money problems again. He wondered if they would take back a veteran assassin such as he. He certainly wouldn’t want to be a recruit again. Perhaps he should just ask for an audience with the Grand Marshall and ask for a higher position in the military. The pay would certainly help and maybe he could fix up that old estate to make it a nice place to retire to.
