Name: Yuan Tan.
Age: Eighteen.
Gender: Male.
Style: Canon.
Personality:
Not fond of the worldly vastness that his father seeks to explore, Tan enjoys the simplistic things that he’s capable of. Hence, the boy hardly exerts himself. He neither wants to rule all of China nor respect the Emperor. He has this satisfaction with what he has that is often seen as passivity amongst the Yuan. Although, the soldier truly despises when something is taken from him. Kingdom expansion is by no means on his mind. His concern is keeping what he was naturally given, no matter how much it’s worth.
Weapon(s):
Like his father, Yuan Tan possesses a keenness to cavalry. Therefore, the spear is his primary weapon. He carries around Honghui, a lance forged in Hebei. The weapon doesn’t have any specialties other than its beautiful craft. In fact, it's of the same quality as any lieutenant's blade.
History:
Elder son of Yuan Shao, Tan was considered to be the brilliant prodigy that would sustain the Yuan clan’s future. Throughout his youth, he was exercised with barrack training alongside grown soldiers and was tutored. His was predestined to be next in line.
He had a strange connection with Shao’s brother, Shu. At that time, Yuan Shu wasn’t very liked in China. Even his brother despised the sheer audacity and greed that he possessed, but bizarrely, Tan couldn’t see these things. When Shu was attacked by the forces of Shu, Wei, and even, the mighty warrior Lu Bu, Tan volunteered to assist this defense. However, the young warrior arrived too late, and immediately returned to Ye, not risking any casualties of his soldiers. It was terrible for the young warlord who sat ill in his room until Guandu.
Cao Cao and his Wei forces dramatically altered the dynasty of Yuan Shao and his sons. Yuan Tan, still very young for war, was considered governor of the Qing province. He was immersed in his studies when a drastic skirmish attempt from Wei forces interrupted the boy. He was astonished as Zang Ba led an assault on what he was given naturally. This enraged to boy, who fought a ridiculously unfair battle, until he finally succumbed to the Wei general.
However, Tan was resilient, sneaking a unit out to the West to aid his father. However, when he arrived Guandu was over. The Yuan clan wasn’t ready to give their land to the Wei ruler just yet. Bringing 50,000 men from his province, Yuan Tan joined his father and brothers troops at Cangting. At this battle, Tan initially developed a hatred for his younger brother Shang.
Shang, who desired to please his father and gain honor, challenged a soldier from Xu Huang’s army. Tan, equipped with an arrow, attempted to rig his brother’s chances, but ended up striking the Wei officer dead. Shang took the glory of this occurrence and the Battle of Cangting began. The Yuan forces lost this final contest. But still, the dynasty survived. Tan, who owned the province of Qing, began to ally himself with Cao Cao, enraged of his younger brother’s splendor and vanity.
[Modified Canon history. I'll just follow this with some normal RP modifications if necessary. This was written forever ago, btw. xD
I'll play him as a Yuan soldier. And most likely join Sishui, Hulao, and Xingxang.]
